Can a dead laptop motherboard be repaired without replacing the entire board?

Yes. Most standard repair shops recommend costly full-motherboard replacements when power rails short or chips blow out. At Prime Tec, we specialize in silicon-level micro-soldering. Using high-resolution thermal imaging cameras, stereomicroscopes, and lab DC power supplies, our technicians trace the short circuit down to the specific failed MOSFET, filter capacitor, or power controller IC and replace only the affected component—saving you up to 70% of the replacement cost.

Where is Prime Tec located, and do you accept walk-in diagnostics?

Our main technical laboratory is located at 123/2 Horana Rd, Kesbawa, Piliyandala, Sri Lanka. Walk-ins are warmly welcomed during operating hours (Mon–Sat: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Sun: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM). You can also reserve priority bench intake directly through WhatsApp (+94 77 585 6069).

What warranty does Prime Tec offer on laptop chip-level repairs?

We provide an official 90-day written warranty on all motherboard chip-level micro-soldering and power rail repairs. Certified hardware replacement parts—including laptop displays, NVMe SSDs, RAM modules, and original batteries—come with 6-month to 3-year manufacturer-backed replacement guarantees.

What is the typical diagnostic and repair turnaround time?

Comprehensive diagnostic isolation takes between 2 to 24 hours. Standard component replacements, RAM/SSD upgrades, and LCD screen swaps are typically completed same-day or within 24–48 hours. Complex water-damaged motherboards or multi-rail BGA rework jobs generally take 2 to 4 business days.

Do you supply genuine computer and laptop spare parts across Sri Lanka?

Yes. Prime Tec stocks authentic OEM laptop displays (FHD, IPS, OLED, 144Hz+ high refresh rate), Gen4 NVMe M.2 solid-state drives, DDR4 and DDR5 memory modules, tested laptop batteries, and original power adapters. We offer fast, secure courier delivery to any location in Sri Lanka.

Does Prime Tec offer on-site technician visits for homes and corporate offices?

Yes. For commercial offices, corporate setups, and residential customers across Kesbawa, Piliyandala, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, and Colombo suburbs, we dispatch experienced technicians for on-premise PC troubleshooting, workstation servicing, network maintenance, and security CCTV installations.
